Description
Large fires produce their own weather patterns as they consume everything in their way. Rapidly rising heat creates a vacuum that is equalized by an inflow of wind. This creates fire whirls. Similar to tornadoes, these spinning winds can throw fire and burning embers into the atmosphere for considerable distances. Usually obscured by smoke, these are the weather patters that are photographed here.
